Does anyone have the correct time? Actually, I was wondering what time it was elsewhere.
While those are both very interesting, I would really prefer something a bit simpler.
But, if you would prefer something more complex...

The 15th Annual Railroad Liability Seminar will be hosted by the Watco Companies. Additional information and registration after the jump.
For all of those who were not able to attend the 14th Annual Railroad Liability Seminar in Rockport this year, you missed another great meeting. Ms. Norma Griffiths did an extraordinary job, with the capable assistance of Mike Flynn and Janet Gilbert. Please, if you can make only one meeting during the year, make it a point to attend the Liability Seminar. It is well worth the time and money.

If you are a regular visitor to our website, you are aware that Railway Claim Services, Inc. is an enthusiastic supporter of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association. Many of you have attended the seminars and meeting arranged by the ASLRRA, and look forward to the receipt of their bi-weekly newsletter. For those of you who do not receive the newsletter, click on this link above for the online version.
The Department of Transportation recently released a template designed to aid railroads in self-assessment of their risk of terrorism or sabotage. To review and apply this document, click here. Please contact Tom Streicher (tstreicher@aslrra.org) at (202) 585-3434 if you have any questions.

As all our clients are aware, Railway Claim Services, Inc. is a staunch
supporter of the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. We
employ only members of the NARTC to defend our railroad clients and we highly
recommend to our railroad clients that their corporate counsel,
or preferred legal counsel become members of the NARTC. If you are
counsel for a railroad and would be interested in joining the NARTC, or if you
are already a member and need additional information regarding upcoming events,
please contact the NARTC via email at Info@NARTC.org,
or by phone at
The website for the NARTC is http://www.usnartc.org
Several members of the NARTC publish newsletters. I have begun asking permission to link to some of these. The first group to respond is Goldberg Segalla, LLP. They are a large defense firm with offices in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, Manhattan, White Plains and Long Island, New York, and with affiliated offices in Europe. They publish numerous reviews and newsletters, but started a new newsletter dedicated to the railroad industry in June 2006. Here is a link to their publications page. http://www.goldbergsegalla.com/newpub.php

I recently attended a conference with the National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association. The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association, Inc. ("NRC") is the only trade association organized specifically to serve the needs of railroad contractors, suppliers, and the entire railroad and rail transit construction industry. NRC's primary objective is to advance the mutual interests of its members and the railroad and rail transit construction industry. Railway Claim Services, Inc. recently partnered with the NRC to prepare a series of Safety Tool Box Talks for NRC members. Although this organization's membership consists primarily of railroad contractors and suppliers, associate and/or affiliate memberships are available. I urge you to visit NRC's website for more information on this organization.

Is there anyone in the railroad industry who does not know Mr. Jeff Blaney? I didn't think so. Here's a link to his website.
